About This Extension

PropFirmKey — Prop Firm Coupons & Deals is a Chrome extension that helps traders find coupon codes and exclusive deals when visiting prop trading firm websites. This privacy policy explains how the extension collects, uses, and protects your data.

Data We Collect

Website Domain Detection

When you visit a prop trading firm website that is in our supported list (approximately 35 firms), the extension reads the domain name only (e.g., "ftmo.com") to check if coupon codes are available. We do not read the full URL, page content, form data, or any personal information from the websites you visit.

Extension Settings

Your preferences (widget enabled/disabled, badge enabled/disabled) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.

Anonymous Usage Events

When you interact with the extension (copy a coupon code, click a deal link), we send an anonymous event to our API that includes only:

• The type of event (e.g., "copy_code", "click_deal")
• The firm identifier (e.g., "ftmo")
• The coupon code used (if applicable)

We do not collect your IP address, browser fingerprint, personal information, or browsing history through these events.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or URLs beyond the domain match
• Cookies from websites you visit
• Form data, passwords, or payment information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or browser fingerprints

Affiliate Disclosure

PropFirmKey participates in affiliate programs with prop trading firms. When you click a deal link through our extension, you may be redirected to the firm's website through an affiliate link. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate links are only activated when you explicitly click a "View Deal" button or link. We never inject affiliate cookies, modify URLs, or redirect you automatically.

Data Storage

Cached deal data and your preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. Cached data automatically expires after 4–24 hours. You can clear all extension data by removing the extension or clearing its data in Chrome settings.

Third-Party Services

The extension communicates only with our API at propfirmkey.com to fetch coupon codes and deal information. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services within the extension.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to any third parties. Anonymous usage statistics may be used internally to improve the extension.

Your Rights

• Opt out: Disable the widget or badge in extension settings (right-click extension icon → Options)
• Delete data: Remove the extension to delete all locally stored data
