Click logging, fraud prevention and retention

When you click a partner link, we record the page, the firm, your browser type, the referring page and your IP address. We rely on our legitimate interest in measuring our partnerships and preventing click fraud. The IP address is deleted after 30 days; a one-way hash and non-identifying statistics are kept. Requests to a decoy address used to detect scrapers are logged with their headers and deleted after 90 days.

YouTube API Services

PropFirm Key uses YouTube API Services to publish and manage videos on YouTube channels that we own and operate ourselves: Propfirmkey and FundedKeys. This is a private tool run by us: visitors of this website are never asked to connect a Google or YouTube account.

With YouTube API Services we:

  • upload videos to our channels and set their titles, descriptions, tags, visibility and thumbnails;
  • add caption tracks (SRT files) to our videos;
  • create and manage playlists on our channels;
  • manage the presentation of our channels (branding and Home-tab sections);
  • read basic information and statistics about our own channels and videos, such as titles, visibility, playlists and view counts;
  • search and look up public information about other channels and videos (video titles, channel names and public counters such as views and subscriber numbers) for market research. We keep only a summary report on our own server; this uses no private data and no data about viewers.

We may also read and reply to comments on our own videos, for community management. A comment (its text, the public display name of its author, its date and its like and reply counts) is displayed to the channel owner only: it is not stored in our database or files and is not shared with anyone. Replies are posted as our channel.

Access is granted by the channel owner through Google OAuth 2.0 and covers only the channels we own. These are the scopes we use and what each one is for:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload to upload videos.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube to manage our channels: edit video titles, descriptions, tags and visibility, set thumbnails, and manage playlists and channel presentation.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl to add caption tracks and to reply to comments on our own videos (YouTube requires this scope for these actions).
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly to read basic information and statistics about our own channels and videos, and public information for market research.

We do not access any other person's YouTube or Google account, and we do not store or share personal data about viewers of our videos or visitors of this website.

What we store: the OAuth refresh tokens of our own channels, kept on our own server with restricted access; metadata of the videos we publish (video IDs, titles, visibility, whether captions and playlists were added, and dates); and summary reports of our market research on public data. We do not sell this data and we do not share it with third parties.

When access is revoked, or on request, we delete the stored authorization data (the refresh tokens). To ask for the deletion of any data, or with any question or complaint about these practices, contact us at privacy@propfirmkey.com.
