Quick Summary
FTMO Futures sells two monthly evaluations, Growth at $119, $169 and $229 and Pro at $139, $199 and $269, on $50K, $100K and $150K accounts, with profit targets of $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000. Growth has no daily loss limit during the evaluation, while Pro has a hard one of $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000 by size. A passed evaluation becomes a Sim-Funded account of the same size at a 90% split, with payout caps from $2,500 to $8,000 per request depending on program and size. The figures come from the official pages checked on 2026-10-05.
01Company Background
FTMO Futures is the futures product of FTMO, sold on its own pages at ftmo.com/en/futures. The futures home page says FTMO has paid out $650M+ to traders since 2015, and describes the offer as trading in a simulated environment with live CME market data. Every account here, evaluation or Sim-Funded, runs on simulated capital. The figures in this review come from the official futures pages checked on 2026-10-05.
The FTMO CFD challenges are a separate product and are covered on the FTMO page of this site. This page covers the futures accounts only, all priced in US dollars.
A trading day runs from 6:00 p.m. ET to 4:10 p.m. ET on the next calendar day. Each evaluation runs on its own monthly subscription, and there is no limit on the number of evaluations you can run at once. A trader can hold up to 3 concurrent Sim-Funded accounts across all account sizes and product types, and the page quotes up to $450,000 in simulated capital. A Live Funded account is not automatic: it is offered by invitation only, after FTMO validates the Sim-Funded trading.
02Challenge Types & Pricing
The Growth Evaluation costs $119 a month on the $50K account, $169 on $100K and $229 on $150K. The profit targets are $3,000, $6,000 and $9,000, and the maximum drawdown is $2,000, $3,500 and $5,000. There is no daily loss limit during the evaluation. Position limits are 5 mini contracts or 50 micros on $50K, 10 or 100 on $100K and 15 or 150 on $150K, or any mix within the limit. To pass, your best day may be at most 40% of your total profit; exceeding that figure is not treated as a rule breach.
The Pro Evaluation costs $139, $199 and $269 a month for the same three sizes, with the same profit targets and contract limits. Its maximum drawdown is larger at $3,000, $4,500 and $6,000, and it adds a hard daily loss limit of $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000: if that limit is breached, the evaluation is unsuccessful. The best-day limit to pass is 50% of total profit, and again exceeding it is not a rule breach.
Both evaluations share their commercial terms. There is no activation fee, no minimum number of trading days and no time limit. The subscription remains active if an account is breached, and a new account is issued on the next billing date. A reset costs $109, $159 or $219 on Growth and $129, $189 or $259 on Pro by size, and it does not change the billing date. After passing, the Sim-Funded account has the same size as the evaluation.
03Trading Rules Analysis
The maximum drawdown is an end-of-day trailing limit. It follows your end-of-day balance high and, during the evaluation, locks permanently at the initial simulated capital once it reaches that level. It is measured against your equity, meaning balance plus open position P&L minus commissions, and your equity cannot hit it at any point.
Holding rules are tied to the trading day, which runs from 6:00 p.m. ET to 4:10 p.m. ET on the following calendar day. No open position or active resting order may be carried past the end of the permitted trading day: anything still open at session close is liquidated or cancelled by the trading platform. The firm also does not allow new positions in a contract when its price is within 2% of the CME-defined daily price limit for that day.
News trading is allowed. Automated trading is permitted too, but software, artificial intelligence or automated systems that manipulate, abuse or give an unfair advantage are not, and the firm names high-frequency strategies and latency arbitrage. Copy trading is not allowed: you may not replicate, follow or incorporate the trading decisions of any third party into an account. The platforms are NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView.
04Payout Process
Both Sim-Funded accounts pay a 90/10 split: you withdraw 90% of the amount you request, after other conditions such as the payout cap. On Growth a request can be made every 4 days, after 4 winning days of at least $150, $250 or $300 by size (not necessarily consecutive). A request may take up to 50% of your profit above the initial simulated capital, capped at $2,500, $3,000 or $4,000 per request.
Pro works on a longer cycle with a wider share: a request every 5 days after 5 winning days of at least $200, $300 or $500, up to 100% of the profit above the initial simulated capital, capped at $5,000, $6,000 or $8,000 per request. On both accounts the minimum withdrawable amount is $20, and at least 50% of each requested amount must be new profit generated in the current payout cycle rather than profit carried over from earlier cycles.
The Sim-Funded accounts have no profit target and no consistency rule. The maximum drawdown is the same as in the evaluation. On Growth the daily loss limit is a soft limit of $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 by size: when equity reaches it, open positions are closed and trading is suspended for the rest of that trading day, the account is not terminated, and trading resumes the next day. On Pro the limit is hard at $1,000, $1,500 or $2,000 and ends the account if breached. A Scaling Plan sets the contract limit at 2, 4 or 6 at the start and lets it rise to 5, 10 or 15 as end-of-day profit above the initial simulated capital grows, adjusting up or down the next trading day.
The Live Funded account is offered by invitation only. Once a one-time buffer is cleared, profit above it can be withdrawn daily with no payout cap, and the payout ratio stays 90/10.
05True Cost Analysis
The list prices on the official pages checked on 2026-10-05 are monthly and in US dollars. Growth costs $119 for the $50K account, $169 for $100K and $229 for $150K. Pro costs $139, $199 and $269 for the same sizes. Neither program has an activation fee; the monthly price shown is the subscription fee.
The subscription keeps billing every month. If an account is not breached, the evaluation continues into the next billing cycle with no time limit. If it is breached, the subscription remains active and a new account is issued on the next billing date. Each additional evaluation carries its own monthly subscription.
A reset costs $109, $159 and $219 on Growth, and $129, $189 and $259 on Pro, for $50K, $100K and $150K; applying a reset does not alter the monthly billing cycle. Commissions are part of the equity calculation used for the drawdown limits, so they count against the drawdown during the day.
06Who Should Use FTMO Futures?
Growth fits a futures trader who wants the lower monthly price ($119 for $50K) and no daily loss limit while evaluating, and who is comfortable with a best day of at most 40% of total profit. On the Sim-Funded side it means a request every 4 days, up to 50% of the profit above the starting capital, and a soft daily loss limit that pauses trading for the day instead of ending the account.
Pro fits a trader who prefers a wider drawdown at each size ($3,000, $4,500 and $6,000), higher payout caps of up to $8,000 per request and requests of up to 100% of the profit, and who works with a hard daily loss limit in both the evaluation and the Sim-Funded stage. Its best-day limit to pass is 50%.
Both suit a trader who finishes the day flat, because positions and resting orders cannot stay open past the end of the trading day, and who trades on NinjaTrader, Tradovate or TradingView.
