Quick Summary

Orion Funded sells simulated forex accounts in five programs, from the instant Orion Zero ($199 to $1,149) to the one-phase Orion Nova, which starts at $7. Evaluations have no time limit and begin on the first trade; Standard and Swing share one price list ($49 to $1,149) and Select has three 5% phases ($59 to $739). Funded accounts pay 80% from the first eligible request on a 14-day cycle, with 90% through the Scaling Plan, on MT5 or MatchTrader.

01Company Background

Orion Funded trades under orionfunded.com, and its home page says it was established in 2023. The page names OGM International Ltd., registered at Unit 1, La Place Creole, Rodney Bay Village, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia, as a related entity, while the simulated trading services and educational tools are provided by Orion Global FZCO, which says it does not act as a broker and does not accept deposits. Orion states that all accounts it provides are demo accounts with fictitious funds, run on real market data with no live orders placed. Rewards, by contrast, are paid in real money based on the trader's results. Applicants must be at least 18 and complete identity verification (KYC) before accessing a funded Orion Trader Account. The catalogue is compact: one instant program, three multi-phase evaluations and one pay-after-pass evaluation, with USD list prices on the program pages. The details below come from the program pages and the help center under orionfunded.com/faq.

02Challenge Types & Pricing

Orion sorts its programs by how many steps sit between purchase and the funded stage. Orion Zero has none. It is an instant account in five sizes, from $199 at $5,000 to $1,149 at $100,000. It carries a 6% maximum drawdown and a 3% daily loss limit, with no time limit and no activation fee. The drawdown is a trailing lock: it follows the balance upward and locks permanently at the starting balance once the first payout is approved. Standard and Swing are the two-phase evaluations, and they share one price list, from $49 at $5,000 to $1,149 at $200,000. What differs is the limit set. Standard asks for 6% in each phase and allows a 6% static drawdown with a 3% daily loss. Swing asks for 8% and then 5%, and allows an 8% static drawdown with a 5% daily loss, on the lower leverage tier (1:30 on forex, against 1:100 on Standard). Both require 4 minimum trading days and apply no consistency rule. Orion Select adds a third phase. Each phase has a 5% target, the static drawdown and the daily loss limit are both 5%, and the same 4-day minimum and lower leverage tier apply. Select runs from $59 at $5,000 to $739 at $200,000, where Standard and Swing list $1,149. Orion Nova is the pay-after-pass program. A single phase has a 4% target and no minimum trading days. The evaluation allows an 8% drawdown and a 4% daily loss, which become 5% and 3% on the funded account. It opens with a $7 registration fee at every size, and the activation fee for the funded account, from $69 at $5,000 to $1,099 at $200,000, is due only after the evaluation is passed.

03Trading Rules Analysis

An Orion evaluation starts on the first trade, not at purchase, and none of the evaluation programs has a time limit. Targets are measured on the balance at the start of each phase and only closed profit counts: all trades and pending orders must be closed before a phase is evaluated, and the next phase then activates automatically. The daily loss limit is calculated from the greater of the previous day's closing balance or closing equity, and it resets at 00:00 UTC. It counts realized losses, floating losses in real time, and swap and commission charges, so a floating loss that pushes equity below the threshold, even briefly, closes the account. Standard, Swing and Select use a static drawdown set on the initial balance that never moves; Zero and Nova use the trailing lock. News rules depend on the program. In all evaluation phases there is no timing restriction around high-impact news, although using news trading as a strategy is never allowed. On funded accounts, Standard, Select and Nova apply a 2-minute window before and after a high-impact event with no opens, closes, modifications or stop orders. Swing has no window. Zero permits trading at all times, but a trade opened or closed within 5 minutes of such an event is rewarded at a 50% split instead of 80%. Positions may be held overnight and over weekends on every program, and an account with no trade for 30 consecutive calendar days expires. Commissions are $4 per lot on forex, metals and commodities and none on indices, stocks or crypto; swap-free accounts are not offered as a standard option. The forbidden-practices list includes exploiting platform errors or delayed feeds, gap trading around scheduled news or within 2 hours of a market closing for at least 2 hours, EAs or robots above 2,000 server requests per day, coordinated manipulative trades across connected accounts (opposing positions inside one account are allowed), and circumventing the Best Day Rule.

04Payout Process

Rewards run on a 14-calendar-day cycle on every program, and after each approved reward the next window opens 14 days later. There is no waiting period before the first request: the firm says a request can be made as soon as the account is in simulated profit with no open positions. Trading is paused once a request is submitted, until Orion responds, and each request is reviewed for compliance. The reward is 80% of simulated profit from the very first eligible request. Under the Scaling Plan it rises to 90%: a 15% return over a rolling 3-month period, at least 2 of every 3 months ending positive and at least 3 reward requests in that period, after which the balance grows by 25%, up to $4,000,000 in total allocated capital, with a review every 3 months. Zero and Nova funded accounts add two conditions: the first 3% of profit is a cushion that cannot be requested, and the best profit day may not exceed 20% of the profit made within the reward cycle. Standard, Swing and Select have no Best Day Rule. Rewards are paid through Rise Pay, which the help center describes as working in more than 190 countries and paying in local currency or crypto; connecting a Rise account is a one-time setup before the first payout. Orion states that if an approved reward has not been processed within 48 hours of approval, the trader is entitled to 100% of that cycle's reward plus a full return of the program fee, that this has to be claimed by contacting Orion, and that the 48 hours pause for delays outside its control, such as weekends, public holidays and bank or payment-processor delays. The firm also states that the original program fee is returned in full after the fourth withdrawal, for all programs. KYC is due within 30 calendar days of passing.

05True Cost Analysis

Orion says every program except Nova uses a single upfront fee due at the time of order, and the program pages list each price as one-time. Zero costs $199 at $5,000, $499 at $25,000 and $1,149 at $100,000. Standard and Swing cost $49 at $5,000, $329 at $50,000 and $1,149 at $200,000. Select costs $59 at $5,000, $299 at $50,000 and $739 at $200,000. None of these four programs has an activation fee. Nova is billed in two parts. The first is a $7 registration fee paid to start the evaluation, the same at every size. The second is the activation fee for the funded account, due only once the evaluation is passed: $69, $109, $209, $349, $669 and $1,099 for the $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000 and $200,000 sizes respectively. Beyond list prices, commissions are $4 per lot on forex, metals and commodities, with none on indices, stocks or crypto. A consumer who has not opened a first simulated trade may withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, and the fee is refunded within 30 days to the original payment method. The fee return after the fourth withdrawal and the 48-hour late-reward compensation are described in the payout section.

06Who Should Use Orion Funded?

The first choice is the structure. Orion Zero fits a trader who wants to trade from the day of purchase and works within a drawdown that follows the balance upward until the first payout is approved. Standard and Swing cost the same at each size, so the decision is about limits: a 6% drawdown with a 3% daily loss on the higher leverage tier, or 8% with 5% on the lower one. Select suits a trader who prefers three 5% steps to a two-phase route, and Nova one who prefers to pay $7 to begin and settle the activation fee only after passing. Applicants must be at least 18, complete KYC, and hold one Client Section per person, and the total capital across all active Orion accounts is $400,000 before scaling. The help center says the current list of unavailable countries includes the United Arab Emirates, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Bangladesh, along with others subject to international sanctions or regulatory restrictions, and that the full list is published on orionfunded.com. The help center bars EAs or robots above 2,000 server requests a day and abusive software; it does not say whether an EA may place trades, so check the terms before relying on one.

07Alternatives

Three firms already on PropFirm Key give a useful contrast, using the figures in the PropFirm Key table. Instant Funding is a forex firm with a listed minimum price of $25, a profit split of 95% and a maximum allocation of $940,000, on MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader. Orion Zero, by comparison, starts at $199 with an 80% split rising to 90%, on MT5 and MatchTrader. Blue Guardian shares both of Orion's platforms, MT5 and MatchTrader, and adds TradeLocker. It lists a minimum price of $27, a split of 90% and a maximum allocation of $2,000,000, while Orion's two-phase Standard evaluation starts at $49 and its $4,000,000 ceiling is reached through the Scaling Plan. BrightFunded lists the same $400,000 maximum allocation that Orion applies before scaling, with a 90% split, a minimum price of $55 and MT5, cTrader and DXTrade. The choice comes down to the platform, the structure (instant, two phases, three phases or pay-after-pass) and the fee model.

Final Verdict

Orion Funded fits a forex trader who wants to pick a structure rather than adapt to one: instant, two-phase, three-phase or pay-after-pass, with no time limit on the evaluations and overnight and weekend holding allowed throughout. It also fits traders who are comfortable on MT5 or MatchTrader and value a 14-day reward cycle with no waiting period before the first request. Before you pay, check the program, the size and the platform, and for Nova both amounts: the $7 start fee and the activation fee for your size. Check your country against the restricted list on orionfunded.com. The pages were checked on 2026-09-30, and the firm may change prices or rules at any time.
